Changing Trends In Fashion Since Its Beginning

Fashion means change and its keeps on changing with time. Since the advent of fashionable clothing mankind has seen a drastic change in women attire, attitude or so called Style. What is style? well nobody can tell but those who are in fashion industry.
The term “Fashion” is not new, it was there since the dawn of civilization. Initially, women used to sew leaves or other materials to cover their private parts to hide their modesty which later seen numerous changes. later one societies which lived on tropical conditions switched to loincloth and leather gained from animals.
That was just the beginning of fashion. Now, if we talk in terms of well civilized society which started from England and other European countries.
Women started wearing an outer bodice known as a cotte which flattened the breast. This was the earliest form of the corset. Corset become a woman’s undergarment by late 16th century. These corsets were very tight but due to the pressure exerted by the society women (even from the richer classes) were supposed to wear them.
Fashion houses which started very early had gotten rid of corset which was considered a big move. Soon most of the women started preferring camisole over corset just because it was loose and women don’t have to wear something that tight which is difficult even to breath. Victorian age tried to defy it and even succeeded for few years but later they surrendered and that was the major turning point in fashion.
Soon after the society pressure was over fashion industry gained control and came up with dresses which hold no responsibility over what to hide or what to cover; it went straight to the customers and it was the customers wish to accept or reject the fashionable dresses.
I will continue this series which will be posted soon. Please leave me a comment and let me know that do you think about the changes in fashion industry.
